This week we will be talking mindfulness and providing an overview of what it is exactly and why its a powerful lifestyle choice to make a habit for our overall health and wellbeing. Its something I have incorporated into my life with tremendous results and got me through some of the most challenging periods when my outside environment wasn't the most pleasant. So please enjoy!
Mindfulness is the practice of bringing one's attention to the present moment, without judgment, by focusing on the breath, sensations in the body, or external sounds. It is a way of paying attention to and being present with one's thoughts and feelings in a non-reactive and accepting way.
Although mindfulness has its roots in ancient spiritual practices, it has gained widespread popularity in recent years as a secular, evidence-based approach to improving mental and emotional well-being. Research has shown that mindfulness can have a number of benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving focus and concentration, and increasing feelings of calm and well-being.

Formal mindfulness meditation typically involves sitting or lying down in a comfortable position, closing the eyes, and focusing on the breath or a mantra.
